Decision Making Moment

There are too many options in life where we always put in the situation to make a decision every moment. It could be critically serious, or just plain simple but necessary.

I have been working on my preparation to start on my own restaurant a couple of months ago. Not sure how long this will take. And now there are lots of things getting piled up together in front of me. I have decided that this might take at least four or five years, or could be more depends on how long I want to do this. One thing is; I'm not in a hurry to start something just for fun. Besides I don't really feel any competition push from anywhere because I really have no intention to please someone beside myself. Not even myself that I am so keen in pleasing though. What I want is a real Malaysian restaurant, or an Asian restaurant that runs with the best service in Tokyo.

As I said there are still lots of business popping up around me that aren't F&B related. I can just say no to all of them easily, but sometime things aren't that easy because people who come to you really need you and you have to be thoughtful not only for yourself. There is where I am now.

When those times come, I love to take a break.

iPhone 070/365 - Grinding Coffee Bean Every Morning

Image_1

I bought my coffee mill quite some time ago, thought it was cool to grind the beans in the morning. Somehow busy routine didn't allow me the luxury and I only managed to make it on the weekend, once in a while, till the beans ran out, and couldn't be bother to purchase more to grind. Instant coffee become my mate for quite a while. I thought she was my best friend. A month ago, someone gave me some beans, alas, she instantly got replaced. What a cruel world it is! Now, I do it almost everyday. Think of the reason why I do so, I guess it's because I am more relax now. I can sit down and look at things slowly without getting too panicky. It's a sign. Life with a cup of freshly brewed coffee just makes you appreciate the surrounding, and it's really awesome.

P.S. Do you know that coffee grinder has another meaning in American English? Figure it out!

iPhone 039/365 - Cafes

There are many cafes that provide very good environment for coffee or tea and place for relax. Not only they serve with specialty of their own, they do provide very great places for coffee moment and healing hours.

Near where we live, there is one called Cafe Shibaken which I have seen its publications in several magazines. They have good desserts to go with coffees and teas. It’s quite crowded on weekends.

Sitting at the terrace seats, looking at the park, one is reminded how lovely it is to have such moment once in a while, and the dream to have a coffee shop like that.
