I have not been drinking recently. One is due to my job, second is because I seldom go and meet people for drinks nowadays. When asked if I like to drink, I think I did, but now nope. I think having my weekend to look after 3 kids is something I concern.

Anyway, cheers! I would love to have a scotch this weekend at night.

Once in a while, just to feel to have something spicy. Here is one dish that I would like to have. The restaurant named Chili Padi, sounds spicy and hot, too.

I never had such dish before, it is very Japanese, and my wife said it’s more towards west Japan dish. Bananagranola-san has the recipe translated into English as well. Check it out!

Found the above-shown Hainanese chicken photo at flickr, which is in New York, a restaurant called Sentosa. Not sure if it is Singaporean or Malaysian, but the yellowish chicken is definitely something I want to have. In Japan, basically it is hard to find such chicken in restaurant. Could that be the type of chicken or the way of coking? Will have to cook oneself, if I want it badly.

I miss it.

About myself recently, perhaps the title speaks for everything I wanted to say.

Have been working hard, but see no future of better life-would-come kind of stage at the moment. Sad, isn’t it? I guess we all have such a time in life, hopefully only once in a while.

Just found that there is a movie titled Tea and Sympathy. Looks like it’s a classic by now, might need to find it somewhere not the place I always look for DVDs.

Rented the DVD Shadowboxer yesterday. As always, watching a movie without any background knowledge helps me enjoy the movie in a purest way. A female assassin who realised she can’t live long, decides to do her final assignment with her lover cum stepson. When she faced with her target, who is pregnant, suddenly water breaks, and assassin started to help her to deliver the baby. Thing started to get complicated, as a movie should be. The “client” who wanted her pregnant wife to be killed because he thought she is having affairs with some other guy. So, for those who are related are to be killed.

One thing interesting here is that, the assassin is assigned to kill those who are chain-related. Killing always has a reason behind, and it is always not out of the daily life, it must be related. In fact, all the assigned targets, actually are almost one-line related from the start to the end. It shows that business is like that, and real life is like that too, don’t you think so? People will do business with those they know instead of unknown, assassin will get business from the same people always.

I got a friend who thought Hong Kong is save and never imagined that it has such gun fighting in real life - except in movies. When she lived in Hong Kong for a while and found that the underground gansters were gun shooting each other at their working hours, she was shocked. When she told that story to her Hong Kong friend, she was told,

“Don’t worry, unless you are related, you won’t be involved.”

Isn’t it sound so lively? That humans have a real life taking place, not without a reason. I like it so much.

Call me sick, but I believe life is beautiful.

The decoration at the entrance for the apartment we lived in was completed 2 weeks ago. It looked really nice and I took the kids there at night to take a few picutres. Snap, snap, and smiles. Did they look natural?? Let the picture speaks itself.

Every year end seemed so busy, but this year it’s kind of quiet. Perhaps it’s because I am not that keen in participate for all kinds of gatherings, else I will be out almost every night for alcohols. Feel the aging thing in me when come to groups.

By next mid January it will turn one year with the current company that I am working now. It has changed a lot after I joined, in a good way. I like it, and the people that I work with, they are nice. No bad guys, though sometimes some moments people tend to act odd. It happens everywhere, so it’s no big deal.

You see, I really have nothing to write about! And Why the reason I am typing such?

Merry Christmas for those who celebrate it, and happy holidays to everyone! Will be getting the stuff to make fruitcakes today.

All the while, we never really decorate for Christmas, because we are not Christian.

Well, we did once, I think it was after we got kids, just to have dreams for the kids, placing presents under the tree thing, but the kids didn’t really understand what it was, so it was us that were excited about Christmas rather than the kids.

This year, we are helping at our mansion. So, it isn’t that sinful, huh? Yet, while helping out for decoration, I still wonder if I should get one to do the decoration. Since the kids have grown bigger (we the adults have not grown up from kids though!), I guess they can understand the fun of it. But, this year, two girls will go to grandma’s house for holidays. So, I guess we will save the money and may be go for hotspring or for good meal at the end of the year.
