addiction rears its lovely head, originally uploaded by lilfishstudios.

I used to love Japanese chinaware very much, though didn’t have money to buy as much as I wanted to. Once in while, when in the mood, I can walk in the department store to just look at it to satisfy myself.

Where have my passion for the chinaware gone to, I wonder.

Chili Padi Restaurant, Vancouver (partie deux), originally uploaded by FatTireTribe:aannuar.

Saw another interesting post, and found the same cuisine from the same restaurant, Chili Padi Restaurant, Vancouver. Interesting. This is how we got connected nowadays, huh? We all found each other something in common.

Sometimes we need to talk to someone. Perfect silence isn’t gold, I guess.

The World is A Vampire…

without comments

The world is a vampire…, originally uploaded by Ayoumali.

I have not been drinking recently. One is due to my job, second is because I seldom go and meet people for drinks nowadays. When asked if I like to drink, I think I did, but now nope. I think having my weekend to look after 3 kids is something I concern.

Anyway, cheers! I would love to have a scotch this weekend at night.

Chili Padi Restaurant, Vancouver, originally uploaded by FatTireTribe:aannuar.

Once in a while, just to feel to have something spicy. Here is one dish that I would like to have. The restaurant named Chili Padi, sounds spicy and hot, too.

I never had such dish before, it is very Japanese, and my wife said it’s more towards west Japan dish. Bananagranola-san has the recipe translated into English as well. Check it out!

Unspeakably Mundane and The Infinite Sadness

Hainanese Chicken, originally uploaded by wEnDaLicious.

Found the above-shown Hainanese chicken photo at flickr, which is in New York, a restaurant called Sentosa. Not sure if it is Singaporean or Malaysian, but the yellowish chicken is definitely something I want to have. In Japan, basically it is hard to find such chicken in restaurant. Could that be the type of chicken or the way of coking? Will have to cook oneself, if I want it badly.

I miss it.

About myself recently, perhaps the title speaks for everything I wanted to say.

Have been working hard, but see no future of better life-would-come kind of stage at the moment. Sad, isn’t it? I guess we all have such a time in life, hopefully only once in a while.

A Colourful Unfinished Painting

without comments

This photo gives me an impression it’s going to be a colourful one, fills with hopes and bright colours. Somehow, the painter focused on the new brush, as “another victim” to come. the focus sends another message which I didn’t see, or couldn’t see, from the photo, after a few times. I wonder why.

A nice quote follows:

“Often while reading a book one feels that the author would have preferred to paint rather than write; one can sense the pleasure he derives from describing a landscape or a person, as if he were painting what he is saying, because deep in his heart he would have preferred to use brushes and colors.”

Reading Light

without comments

I wanted to have something, like a stand light, at my study — or the sunroom — but I didn’t try to get anything. Apparently, I don’t use the room so often. Recently, I come back late, and after meal, with an hour or two for DVDs, I am ready to go to bed.

But, since it is getting warmer, even if I fell asleep in the reclining chair that already in the study, I may not have to worry I will catch a cold.

I remembered I used to have such interior design plans also back in Malaysia in my house. I think I had all the luxuries which I don’t have it here in Japan. Once in a while when I recall those moments, I wonder why I never wanted to “maintain” that.
