Heading to Snow Country
From Omiya, we are heading north to Sendai, my wife’s hometown. It takes about one and a half hours non-stop Hayate Tsubasa shinkasen, the fastest, to get there. Half way one sees snow white scene already. Looks like going to be cold (can’t be hot I know!).
Let’s enjoy ski then!!!

Appreciation
Used my points to get a cup of coffee from Tully’s. Since I commute quite often, they know me well. Signed with a marker by the boss, they offered me a Tall Latte.
Happy Holidays!!!

Three
This was taken last spring at Ueno Park, one of the largest parks in Tokyo, and lots of foreigners strolling around for leisure or for business, depends on time and areas, of course. It used to be a park for “underground” prepaid card trading, now it’s history.
Eating on his own with chopsticks, Shion was learning how to survive among siblings. He observes, learns, does his own way. Seeing him learning is really a great joy and it makes me feel proud of him. What kind of person he is going to be, I really wonder.
Still far to go. He just turned 3 last February.
Santa Claus
Karin wrote a letter to her kindermate expressing her gratitude for playing together always. At the back of the A4-size letter, she also included her artistic side to her friend!
Fruitcake for Christmas 2008
This has almost become a must-do for Christmas for the last couple of years. For those who have been following my blog already know by know what it is all about. Yes, I make fruitcake every year. This has become a tradition, a long story. Here is the recipe from M Sinclair Stevens.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!
