First Water Painting
Filed Under food | Leave a Comment
My 7-year-old Erin had her first summer homework for her first year primary school; drawing her summer event. At first she couldn’t decide what to draw, and in fact she said she couldn’t recall what she did. Education is a tough job for parents. My wife taught her how to paint, and it was a pain in the ass!
My wife showed her the picture taken at a beach in Sendai, and she drew as what she saw, not what she experienced (this is a hard expression, but read my lips). Here is the original for your information.

Lunch@Korean Restaurant
Filed Under food | Leave a Comment
We had lunch outside today. Went to a Korean bbq restaurant nearby. It serves hamburger set lunch. My wife and I decided to have hamburger instead of bbq set lunch.
It was so natural that we choose hamburger rather than bbq. One second, I thought it’s quite funny, because we didn’t feel like having bbq, but we are in one bbq restaurant! Why? A specialty is more attractive than any mundane option, may be, if you know what I mean. The thing is, the taste wasn’t bad, and I was wondering, what would happen if this dish become famous and people come not for the main bbq but rather hamburger, what is the purpose of this bbq restaurant sign for? Or does it matter?

Trip to Niigata
Filed Under food | Leave a Comment
Back to reality. Niigata’s trip was nice. With all the bad weather reported all over in Japan, we had a good weather for 2 days, and the beach we went was peaceful and nice. The kids enjoyed it very much. I had a swim as well. When was the last time I swam at sea?
So, we were back. Here are a few photos taken while we were on cruise ship at this place called Sasagawa-nagare. The sea was really nice and clear.
A few photos taken while cruising at sea.

We Did Mean to Go to Sea
Filed Under food | Leave a Comment
It’s been a while that we didn’t go on vacations. The last week of summer holidays now, we are heading to Japan Sea. Jellyfishes have occupied the shore by now, I guess. If we are not back to Tokyo by the weekend, either we got eaten, or kidnapped, you know who is at next door. ;)
